I'm a foreign user and don't have a national insurance number, can I use abratax to submit my return?

AbraTax does not block you from using the software without a National Insurance number, but from the team’s understanding you will not be able to configure your Government Gateway account correctly for Self Assessment. That limitation sits with HMRC, not AbraTax.

Details

• You can technically sign up and start using AbraTax.

• Without a National Insurance number, HMRC may prevent you from linking Self Assessment properly.

• If you are in this position, HMRC need to confirm what your options are.
