How do I enter payments on account in my self-assessment?

Modified on Thu, 11 Dec, 2025 at 3:24 PM

AbraTax does not use your payments on account (payments you have already made) in its own tax calculation. HMRC already knows what you have paid and will adjust the final amount due when the return reaches their systems, even though the AbraTax calculator itself does not factor in payments on account. For more information on this, check out our detailed blog on this topic.

Details

• Enter your Self Assessment figures as normal.

• The AbraTax calculator does not adjust for payments on account.

• HMRC will apply payments on account on their side.

• You may see a difference between the on screen estimate and HMRC’s final position.
